Report No. 23 “Combined-cycle plants in conventional thermal power stations in countries of the Eurasian Economic Union as of 2014”

Abstract

Report No. 23 "Combined-cycle plants in conventional thermal power stations in countries of the Eurasian Economic Union as of 2014" issued by the ABI in October, 2014, is a result of a marketing research performed by the ABI.   Its goal is to illustrate the following: geography of location of power units on the basis of the steam power technology, capacity and the major players in the markets of design and construction work, production of the basic equipment and implemented layout charts of the power units' basic equipment.

Report characteristics

The report consists of 5 sections. The first section cites data on generation of electricity by the largest Russian generating companies in years 2012-2013 and in the 1^st half of years 2013-2014; prospects of construction of combined-cycle power units in Russia in years 2014-2020 are described. The second, third, fourth and fifth sections are dedicated to projects of construction of power units based on combined-cycle plants in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia as of the end of September, 2014.

The report includes projects on construction of combined-cycle power units and projects on construction of gas turbine superstructures for steam power equipment.

Description of the projects is given with the following main aspects (with the information at hand): a period of construction, location of the power unit, goal of the construction, description of the project, capacity of the power unit, investments, configuration and models of the basic equipment (gas and steam turbines, generators, heat-recovery boilers and compressor stations), projector and contractor.
