Abstract

Report No. 24 "Gas engine power plants in Russia in the years 1994-2014 years in the regions from O to Z" prepared by ABI in February 2015. The report is the result of ABI's own marketing research.   The aim was to summarize the experience of GEPP building in Russia, which, in turn, showed the geography location of the stations of this type, power range, main players in the market of design work, construction, manufacture of basic equipment, their niche, realized schemes of equipment configuration.

The study was focused on construction (installation) projects of mini-CHP and power plants based on gas engines, implemented from 1994 to 2014, that are in various stages of implementation or planned for implementation in the regions of Russia with the names which first letter is in the range O through Z. The report is prepared on the information base for the period from 90th years of XX century to the end 2014.

The report describes 235 projects and gives the most important characteristics of other 165 projects related to various economic activities. Besides, the report demonstrates the characteristics of power plant construction projects in the fields of oil, gas and coal, transport facilities, and gas storage facilities. Totally the report enumerates the projects implemented on the basis of more than 1150 gas engine energy units. Projects for the convenience of geographical perception are structured by the Russian regions.

Project description is available at the following key indicators (if available): simple/ cogeneration/trigeneration cycle, installed electric and thermal power, commissioning year, location (construction), purpose of the construction, customer, main generating equipment (power plant model, engine, generator, boiler type, etc.), general designer, general contractor and others.
